A deep love of cinema and storytelling shapes my approach to creating images.
I primarily shoot fiction and documentary projects, where collaborating to create textured, story-driven imagery is my goal. I always hope to join a project as early as possible with the aim of finding the soul of the story – and exploring how to communicate that poetically on screen.
After getting my start in broadcast documentary and fiction shorts, being very much self taught I studied Cinematography at the NFTS, where I was fortunate to learn from Oliver Stapleton BSC, Stuart Harris BSC & Chris Ross BSC, as well as many others.
Recent projects of mine include The Department of They, a BBC Film short starring Maxine Peake & Zawe Ashton. Tussle produced by SkyeAngel Productions shot on 16mm film starring Dixie Egerickx, Harry Collett & Myles Kamwendo. The Salisbury Poisonings: A Spy Next Door a feature documentary for Passion Pictures which premiered at CPH:DOX internationally and Sheffield Doc Fest in the UK.
